Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub of the American is an actor, comedian, and activist. After immigrating to America she was born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as a child actor. She gained notoriety for her roles in AT&T television commercials as saleswoman Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and , since then, until in 2020. She was also a frequent series regular on Yahoo! Screen science-fiction show Other Space (2015). She also played a regular role on the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub was initially chosen to play the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, has voiced the character since. Vayntrub is was a Jewish person was born in Tashkent (Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic), USSR. Her parents and her left antisemitism at the age of two. They settled in West Hollywood. Due to financial hardships in the family, she started performing in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was five years old. Vayntrub was a student at Beverly Hills High School briefly and then was kicked out of the school during her sophomore year. She later obtained the GED and earned an Associate of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. She was a member of improv comedy group the Upright Citizens Brigade.
