Brooke Christa Shields was born May 31 in 1965. She started out as a young model and gained critical acclaim when she was 12 years old for her lead role in the film of Louis Malle Pretty Baby (1978). She continued modeling into her teens, and was featured in numerous dramas during the 1980s, such as The Blue Lagoon (1980) and Franco Zeffirelli's Endless Love (1981).
